5th Annual Clemson Undergraduate Research Symposium

July 27 was the 5th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. Our undergraduates, Daniel Fox and Jared Friedl, both presented posters on the work they completed during the course of the summer. Daniel’s poster was titled “Progress Towards Charge Exchange with Highly Charged Ions,” while Jared summarized his work as “Calcuim Spectroscopy Using a Tunable External Cavity Diode Laser.”

The event took place in Clemson’s Watt Family Innovation Center, where 87 undergraduate students across multiple departments displayed their work. A plenary talk was given by Prof. Lin Han from Drexel University on the “Nanoscale structure-property relationships of biological materials.”
